stumbled upon the soft opening and had to try it! was in a rush to go to another event but loved the matcha softserve and mochi drink - will be back for the actual scooped icecreams next!

I’m sure you’ve heard of the different levels of matcha ice cream available in Japan - but did you know you can get something similar in New York now? This is the first leveled matcha ice cream in Manhattan - which one would you try?

Long line waited for at least 30 mins before getting the order. It was good but you have to decide whether it’s worth the wait.

H You don’t have to travel all the way to Japan, because there’s a new matcha spot in Chinatown where you can get different levels of matcha ice cream. My favorite was 4 or 5, but it does go up to 8!  

Their soft serves and lattes are delicious as well. 

This is the second location of @aokomatcha following the first in west village.

Come choose your own Matcha Intensity at this new matcha gelato spot in West Village. Five matcha levels means you can find your shade of matcha green from Level 1 (2.9% intensity) to Level 5 (17.9% intensity). Though they specialize in matcha gelato, they also have lattes, parfaits, cakes and more, there's definitely something for everyone!
