Auntie Qiu Kitchen is a hidden gem in Alhambra that’s serving up delicious Shanghai-style bites with standout hospitality. The waitress offered warm, attentive service and nailed her recommendations—especially the pan-fried pork buns and jellyfish with vinegar, both bursting with flavor and freshness.
The “Old Shanghai” decor adds a nostalgic charm that’s perfect for selfies and group shots. Also, there’s typically no wait on weekday evenings, making it a great dining spot. Highly recommended!!!

Aunty Qiu’s has hands down the best shengjianbao in LA — golden crispy bottoms with plenty of soup inside (watch out, they will explode on you or the person in front of you 😅). They also serve classics like xiaolongbao and huntun, all top quality. Recently, they’ve expanded the menu with breakfast staples like Chinese crepes and silky douhua. Definitely a spot worth returning to again and again.
