Bowlegged BBQ is my #1 spot for bbq in SD! When you can smell the food from a mile away, you know it’s good! Sausage links, rib tips, and brisket along with collard greens and yams! My favorite combo!

We have been hearing good things about this place and wanted to try. I got the brisket plate 1 side being the cornbread. My sister got the ribs and sweet potatoes. The brisket was ok very fatty which she did tell me. The ribs were delicious and the sweet potatoes. The cornbread very thick. The ambiance was like a house backyard bbq feel ! I loved it. Friendly service like we were at a family bbq. Mary & Mike was so sweet greeted us made us feel welcome.  Get the ribs!

This is my go-to #bbq spot! Texas BBQ in #sandiego! This is the Sampler, but instead of 3 meats, I did more #ribs and #brisket, & mac n’ cheese and baked beans as my sides. I called ahead to pick up, and they are always so friendly. It’s a #blackowned #blackownedrestaurant #familyrunrestaurant in #mounthopesandiego. It’s definitely worth the visit bc their whole menu looks good! They always have a good selection of #shastasoda flavors and that #tikipunch is my favorite! Get ready to get messy!

This place is a M U S T!!!!! No hesitation. Wow. Incredible bbq here. I was amazed. Shout out to Maria (I believe the owner) for the spectacular service. The ribs are smokey and flavorful. The rib tips? Make sure you get some of those. The Mac and cheese is tangy, cheesy and delicious. They have the best banana pudding I’ve ever had here. Oh!!! And the cornbread. You can’t leave without trying that. There’s a long wait for a reason. They make your plate fresh and it’ll stay piping hot.

My mouth is watering looking back at this delicious meal. Some of the best service, mom and pop type place, and amazing ribs. The banana pudding is probably the best I’ve had in San Diego.
