Fondly known as Mr. Ofi (Hebrew for "personality") by customers at his previous cafe, native Israeli  Doni Tamli and wife Ann opened their first restaurant after lamenting that there was nowhere to get a good falafel in town.  When they heard in 2000 that the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) needed a food vendor, they jumped at the chance to start Cafe Ofi, featuring Doni's now-famous falafel and hummus recipes as well as other international dishes.
