Open Saturdays & Sundays 10AM-5PM April through September, and 10-4PM from late September-November.

Mount Wilson Observatory's Cosmic Cafe is a welcoming and refreshing destination at the end of the road or the trail for hikers and bikers as well as for those who wish to discover the wonders of Mount Wilson Observatory from the comfort of their automobiles following a memorable trip through the Angeles National Forest. U.S. Forest Service Adventure Passes are available at the cafe during our weekend business hours.

The Cafe offers a variety of  sandwiches and other treats and souvenirs to visitors to the Observatory. The Cafe is located in the Pavilion overlooking the large parking lot at the entrance to the Observatory. Weekend public tour tickets are also sold at the Cafe.

The cosmic cafe had a limited menu. We got there around 1:30pm on a Saturday and the sold out of their wraps and salads. We ended up getting two chili dogs, a coffee, and hot chocolate. The food was OK, but the views were nice and the proceeds. Go to maintaining the observatory there. So to me, it was worth it. There was ample parking and a restroom. It’s also nice to know that they do concerts and lectures and even matinee during certain times of the year. It’s a pretty cool place to check out.

What an amazing place to visit! Great chili and options to hike around with an amazing view of the city and the ocean.
