It's a cute shop with a sort of rock and roll theme, and it was fun to look at the different donut names and how they are tied in with musical acts. More importantly, my donut, while not the cheapest that I've had, was definitely yummy with a good texture. I'm a sucker for a chocolate glazed donut with a cream filling, and this definitely made me happy.

Donut Friend is located on York Street in Highland Park. These delicious donuts are entirely vegan!

There were so many delicious lavors to choose from, it was so hard to pick! My favorite was the Samoas and Creme Brûlée!

These donuts are all vegan and pretty darn good! I always get the polar berry and the compassion fruit. The compassion fruit is actually a charitable donut, hence the name! Half the proceeds go to a charity, I love that!

The service is always stellar! The staff was friendly and when I lamented the fact I didn’t also get ice cream for my treat, the staff offered me a sample to quell my ice cream craving. Truly, a sweet gesture!
