Established in 1973.
Egg Plant was the original name given to the restaurant by Maureen Anderson who was the originator of the 101 omelet menu back in the early 70's. 
In the early 80's Betty Travis & Marjorie Riberdy owned the restaurant and changed the name to Egg Plantation.
In the late 90's the resaurant was owned by the Gallagher family who opened evenings and served traditional Irish dishes.
In late 2000 to date Simon & Shannon Mee became the new owners and reopened Egg Plantation adding to the original 101 omelet menu.

The egg really stood out for my meal, I ordered French Toast with an egg on the side. The flavor was egg. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was juicy not dry! Which was a pleasant surprise. What really stood out here was the service! Great waitress and overall friendly atmosphere. Food was alright but the benefit would be that you could do brunch on Sundays with delicious crafted cocktails.
