I've frequently gotten quick takeout from Ela. This time I visited on a weekend with many people at the restaurant. For the first time I did have to wait a bit for the food. It was well made, as usual.

I have been trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into my diet, so I appreciate places that offer both meat and non-meat options, to serve both my and my boyfriend's tastes. This vegan yeero includes stuffed grape leaves as well as fake meat, for a filling, satisfying meal.

The flowery storefront is an eye-catcher on Newark Ave 🌺 There is both indoor and outdoor seating at this fast casual spot, but I normally use the convenient online ordering for takeout. The food is prepared quickly, and pickup is a breeze. In particular, the Beef & Lamb Yeero and Greek Fries have become favorites!

We're regulars for Ela's takeout. My boyfriend got our longtime favorite, the Beef & Lamb Gyro. This time I decided to try the Shrimp Wrap, and I wasn't disappointed!

The gyro wraps are the thing to get from here. I often go with the Beef & Lamb, but I've branched out to try other proteins. The Chicken Souvlaki is pretty good!
