This spot specializes in Mexican street corn also known as Elote. Super delicious and comes with great toppings! It’s a bonus the Old Town Urban Market is decked out with Day of the Dead decorations. πŸ’€πŸ΅οΈπŸŒ½ ### nellseats β€” 4.7/5 Β· Oct 14, 2023 Love this spot. Second time I've been and they did not disappoint! Takis on top were optional and I said YES and was glad I did!! The hot Cheetos/Takis added that extra spice and sizzle and completed the vinegar taste to the chamoa, cheese and corn. This dish always takes me a second to adjust. I'm not used to these flavors and sometimes find chamoa to be too salty or strong, but magically the flavors balance each other for superior comforting flavor, yum! ### sdlovezfood β€” 4.3/5 Β· Feb 15, 2023 @eloterestaurants is a hidden gem in San Diego! It is tucked away in a corner of @oldtownsandiego in a little market called old town urban market @ot_urbanmarket. There are about 4 restaurants inside and nice area to sit. We got the elote, which is a popular Mexican street dish that includes corn on the cob (or in a cup) topped with mayo/crema/butter, cotija cheese, chili powder + lime. We also got the esquites, which is basically the same except the corn isn't on the cob.
