Encuentro Cafe former by The Congress Cafe is located just outside of Old Town Park. We brought to San Diego the wonderful experience of a Venezuelan Bistro with the versatile Arepas and the delicious Cachapas as wells as the best coffee in Old Town.

I was craving arepas and I found this place! it's a cute spot right next to old town. they have a separate arepa menu that I had to ask for since their main menu didn't have any full size ones.

I got the reina (chicken) one with chicken, avocado and mayo and I was delish! the description is deceiving since they add a bunch of other herbs to it too. pretty good size. the only negative is that it's pretty pricey around $15 and close to $20 with tax and tip.
