Established in 1990.
Located at 5739 N. Ravenswood, Fireside is the original building that has been serving fine food and libation since 1904.  Originally a road house on the northern fringes of Chicago, the building had been home to several restaurants and lounges.  Fireside, as in its current form, came into being in February of 1990.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while, having driven past it several times. Parking is easy in the attached lot. The inside is spacious and I had no idea about the really cool back patio. It has a very nature focused feel, with birds chirping, and plants on the walls. Happy hour is good, with a few drinks discounted. The food left a little to be desired, as there are very few vegetarian options and the food seemed like reheated, frozen stuff. Next time I will have to try the famous ribs.

This is a great place to come with friends and sit inside at the bar or outside on the covered heated patio. There’s something for everyone from pasta and ribs to salads and vegetarian options. Come early enough and you can enjoy their happy hour specials! Free parking in the lot next door.
