Interstellar is my BBQ recommendation for out-of-town visitors. Must get the peached tea pork belly. Go early though as the line can get long during peak hours.

Interstellar BBQ is an Austin must! They are only open from 11-4 every day (closed monday + tuesday!) so the line can be long, but the wait is totally worth it. We waited around 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered brisket (10000/10), pork, peach tea pork belly, ribs, and two types of sausages. We tried almost every side (dont forget to ask for free beans!) and my favorite side was the au gratin potatoes & potato salad, but everything was phenomenal. Definitely give Interstellar a try!

Best bbq sides I’ve had in Austin so far, mac & cheese and scalloped potatoes were so heavenly. Also the pork belly and short rib were great and different from other bbq places I’ve had. Worth the long wait for this and would come back again

Expect an hour or two wait. But good people and great bbq. The sides are good too! Loved the pork belly, the brisket, scalloped potatoes, and jalapeño slaw.

brisket 🔥 tender, succulent, good ratio of fat and meat. 
peach tea glazed pork belly 🔥 smoky, salty, sweet & fatty
lamb taco 🔥 juicy, shredded, flavorful, not gamey at all. 
jalapeño popper sausage 👍 not my favorite but good
mac n gouda 🔥 shells in thiccC yummy cheese sauce
scalloped potatoes 🔥 dense but has good flavor
jalapeño slaw 👍 crunchy and light with a lil spice 
banana pudding 👍 typical banana pudding but has some caramel in it.
