This restaurant is family owned and the first neighborhood restaurant in Ivy City specializing in seafood and locally sourced ingredients. 

The Tavern hold events at their indoor and outdoor patio space including live DJs. They also have a market down below selling fresh seafood products and of course smoked fish. The #fishandfirefoodgroup has many restaurants in the DMV including Nick’s Riverside Grill, Tony & Joe’s Seafood Place, The Tavern, and the newest restaurant, The Point.
