Shabu Shabu near Santa Ana downtown 
This restaurant satisfied my recent cravings for Shabu Shabu. I ordered the creamy veggie broth and swai (protein). 
A tip for parking: if you park your car inside the parking structure on E 5th Street & N French Street (about a street block walk from the restaurant), you get one hour free parking.

Hot pot on a rainy day is unbeatable. Warms you up and is much more healing than sugary hot cocoa. I’m so happy it’s winter so I can take advantage of Shabu!

I come to Kaizen pretty regularly and the food is always amazing. Service can be hit or miss, some busy nights it takes a really long time, but its always worth the wait. I prefer ala carte to AYCE, so Kaizen is perfect. Each order comes with soup base, vegetables, white rice, noodles, and sesame and ponzu sauce.
