Our kitchen leans on slow mastery β€” wok heat that sings, sauces reduced to glossy perfection, and aromatics released at just the right moment. ## Hours - Monday: 11am - 9pm - Tuesday: 11am - 9pm - Wednesday: 11am - 9pm - Thursday: 11am - 9pm - Friday: 11am - 9pm - Saturday: 11am - 9pm - Sunday: 11am - 9pm ## Amenities - Reservations available ## Reviews ### 88tumble β€” 4.3/5 Β· Feb 7, 2026 Kar son is an upscale modern Chinese restaurant with sichuan influences πŸ’™ ### _s.parky β€” 4.3/5 Β· Apr 25, 2026 Went with two friends and ordered a variety of dishes! The dish that stood out to me was the branzino and their shrimp balls! I thought their seafood fried rice was a bit bland for me and the sichuan chicken was ok. The ambience is nice and cozy for a Chinese restaurant. Compared to Din Tai Fung, it’s a little bit more elevated and less crowded for sure. ### godfreytsang β€” 5.0/5 Β· Jan 4, 2026 New place good to try ### user_4dee37 β€” 3.3/5 Β· Jan 18, 2026 Beef noodle soup was excellent. Mapo tofu was overly sweet. Portions are quite small. ### dthemenace β€” 4.3/5 Β· Mar 7, 2026 This restaurant has a very nice and comfortable atmosphere that really makes you enjoy the whole dining experience. ### 3456789 β€” 5.0/5 Β· Jan 6, 2026 The newest Chinese restaurant in DTLA ### cheespls β€” 4.3/5 Β· Mar 5, 2026 Loved the cucumber salad, mapo tofu and seasonal greens! The tomato braised beef was delicious - only complaint was some of the tendon pieces were a little tough and could have been cooked for longer in my opinion. Rice was also a little dry and hard but overall, great restaurant in the Row. Service was outstanding. ### beebee106 β€” 4.3/5 Β· Jan 12, 2026 Loved the decor and ambiance. Soup dumplings were really good. Dishes that are not as spicy as at Szechuan restaurants are the chongqing chicken and mapo tofu.
