A mom and pop diner, serving breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches, salads, burgers and daily specials. Saturdays include mexican dishes as well as menudo. Established in 1996. Originally started as an unplanned business venture by the Montalvo Family. The family purchased the property as a lumber and construction yard for United Southwest Construction and Fellowhsip Forrest Products. (Both also being Montalvo Family owned businesses). The history that pre-dates the Montalvo ownership is a history in itself. The family had pruchased the land which was for decades the home of the Arizona Livestock Auction which was owned and managed by the Anton Family. For many years the cafe was a large part of the livestock auction. Over past years the cafe has gone by a few different names including Cattleman's and Al-Kay's Kafe. There has also been a rumor that the cafe served as a site for a scene from the 1975 movie W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings starring Burt Reynolds.
