What an amazing selection of fresh fish at Koi! The sushi, sashimi, +handrolls are so tasty+fresh. They even have a special wrapper that prevents the seaweed from getting soggy/chewy fast. The fish is nicely cut and the fried squid dish (ikageso) comes with crispy taro chips, so umami! Love the miso soup too since it is special with sweet potato & kabocha cubes. Great ambiance+friendly servers. Happy hour is also at a good price point though a little higher than other spots. #sushi #sashimi #koi

This is a hidden gem in the Montrose area of Houston! There were several good nigiri pieces and handrolls on the happy hour menu as well as many drink options! I had the lycheetini which was fantastic. Our server also recommended the enoki butter which was a mushroom soup and I would have this over Miso soup any day of the week. We also had the Japan 7 nigiri, and my favorites were the Chu Toro, the Kanpachi, and the Barracuda. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
