I love eggplants and bacon cheeseburgers so why not have it in an empanada. The empanadas came 2 per order and were very filling. The bacon cheeseburger empanada was super meaty and cheesy, I enjoyed it the most. La Masa has plenty of empanada options and other Colombian dishes as well.

Ever had Colombian baked goods? I have not! Tried a variety of goodies such as corn arepas, almojabanas- which are cornmeal cheese bread, guava and cheese pastry. The corn arepas were super tasty and full of flavor! My favorite of the bunch is the guava and cheese pastry. The guava flavor really goes well with the cheese! Pair with some coffee/ tea. Perfect combination! The pastries were super fresh and generous on the filling. I don’t usually like corn based pastries, but I liked these.
