Ordered the soup dumplings, which were the highlight of the meal. Juicy, flavorful, and definitely worth getting. Unfortunately, the rest was underwhelming. The Kung Pao chicken was just okay, nothing memorable, and the house special filet was bland. Halfway through, we found a hair in the dish, which completely killed the appetite. They did refund the item when we pointed it out, but there was no apology, which was disappointing. Good soup dumplings, but service and consistency need improvement

We had the best time at Mama Lu's in Pasadena! We usually hang at the Chinatown location, but decided to switch things up and give this one a shot - and yo! what a treat it was!

We dug into all our favorites like the beef wrap, spicy wontons, and crab and fried scallop fried rice, and they were absolutely sensational. The House Special Fish Filet is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and just bursting with flavor.
