Tastes like home. So savory and satisfying. The food came up relatively quick. Service was good. Most of the eaters are Chinese and staff speak Chinese. You know this place is legit.

This traditional Chinese family-style restaurant with a Taiwanese twist are known for having some of the best dumplings in the LA. The soup dumplings are delicious! I also ordered their pork rice cakes, garlic green beans, pork pan fried dumplings, and spicy wontons (not pictured). Everything was delicious, and what I loved most about Mama Lu’s is that there wasn’t a massive wait like most dumpling houses these days.

Mama lus use to be the go to spot when they first opened up, serving the juciest honey pork chop and soup filled dumplings. Sadly this visit wasnt it for me. There was a nasty bug in our greens, and the flavor was lacking alot. They had extra help for running the tables but it was still not so organized like they use to be. What a miss today
