We dined in for friendsmas a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the mac and cheese was a bit cold, but they offered us a round of champagne for the inconvenience. The star was definitely the collards, but everything was delish!

Marcus Bar & Grille is THE neighborhood spot and has probably become my fav spot for happy hour. Chef Marcus Samuelsson has put his magic touch on the dishes, from the fluffy cornbread to the crispy chicken, and I’ll def be back to try dinner. The entire space is a celebration of Black community, music and culture and made me never want to leave. The staff deserves all the praises. Some of the friendliest people I’ve ever encountered. Run, don’t walk for your next happy hour with friends.

This is Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s restaurant. You must order their cornbread! It’s absolutely delicious! It’s got an upbeat funky vibe with groovy decor. They use the wood fired grill to prepare many of their entrees.
