Sadly the Korean cafe matchas are better: you can go either 50% or zero sugar, wish there was a 25% option

New matcha place in LA! The matcha was very strong and loved the taste of the Hokkaido milk. It’s definitely on the expensive side though! But worth  try (:

this plaxe just opened at the Culver Steps Plaza in downtown Culver City, and I’m so happy we finally have a quality matcha spot in the area. They focus on matcha lattes with a bunch of fun options — my favorite is the pistachio matcha latte. Nutty, creamy, and not overly sweet.

They also have snacks that make it way too easy to stay longer than planned… the cheese tarts are seriously good, and they’ve got gelato too. Perfect little stop for a matcha break while you’re in Culver.

Maruwu is SO good. Ceremonial grade matcha but don’t expect all the sweetness fillers! I got the ube matcha and loved the richness. Look at that color! I’ve also heard their little custards are delicious. This spot is new but it’s so calm and chic in there. Would love to sit with a good book and great matcha!
