Modern Pastry is a cash only bakery in the north end. I find their staff is friendlier than their competitors. There is always a line but thats because ita always worth it. My fav is the carrot cake and cannolis (which they fill on the spot and you can customize them!)

You CANNOLI say you visited boston if you've tried one of these!

Conveniently came across Modern Pastry while exploring the area! Many people claim they have the best cannolis, so I had to try ☺️ I loved how you can choose between mini or full-sized cannolis (I got a mini), then select your type of shell, cream, & dippings

It was my first time trying a cannoli and my honest thoughts are that it's not for me bc the cream was too heavy for my liking. But they also have so many other pastries try

The North End is the BEST area in Boston. Mike’s Pastry is known to travelers for having the best pastries, but Bostonians love Modern. Their cannoli and pastries are TOP notch!!
