Morihiro is a legendary sushi chef in Los Angeles. Overall it’s just OK. Very expensive especially if you go to the counter Omakase. In my personal rating scale of -10 to 10 for sushiyas, Sushi Kaneyoshi lands a solid score of 3, while Morihiro would score a solid -2 (MINUS TWO). Mostly due to price, because for a meal at $400++ I’d rather fly to Japan.

Went there twice. For $400 omakase meal, the highlight on both of my visits was the dessert. Kohada is dry and not that tasty. Overall the sushi is barely ok. Mori san can be a legend in terms of his rice, but his neta is no good. Also he gives us all so much food, I just wished it was delicious, but it was not. Very disappointing.
