Nixta does Tacos and Tostadas to the next level! 🌮 
The items here are pricey. They are $8-8.50 PER item. You can easily rack up a bill here. The Beet Tartare Tostada, Tuna Tostada, and Duck Carnitas are my recommendations! I suggested these items since they had an amazing flavor profile. Vegan 🌱 options: Tomato Tostada and Beet Tartare. Veggie options: Purple Taco and Cauliflower Taco. Duck carnitas is so fire! I really like the carrot tostada — and they have get vegetarian options! Love the vibe and definitely packed full of flavor!

Best elevated tacos in the ATX!

Chef Rico and Sara let their creativity and passion for food flow through their menu. They take traditional dishes and add a modern personal touch.

Everything here is amazing, but I highly recommend anything with their duck fat beans. If you’re vegatarian or vegan you’ll find some great options without sacraficing flavor or quality! PS tortillas are made fresh daily through a nixtamal process.

Nixta is a taqueria located on the east side of Austin and has both walk-ins and reservation only omakase. We tried the omakase and the entire thing was gluten free and very unique. To my surprise, my fav taco was the green bean taco! I also tried the NA cocktail pairing which was verrrry… interesting. This chef trained at a very popular restaurant in Mexico City and brought that knowledge back to Austin to start his own gig. Definitely give Nixta a try! But be prepared to sit outside.
