IMHO, you cannot truly say you have a favorite Chicago style deep dish pizza if you haven’t been to Pequod’s.  Pequod’s is in two locations , and only one in the city, and it’s well worth the trip.  They are known for their caramelized crust.   Highly recommend you get sausage and/or pepperoni as your meat, and add veggie toppings as you like.  16 inch /large can easily feed three normal adults. My go-to spot for deep dish - hands down my favorite 🍕 They’re known for that caramelized crust, and it’s seriously next level 😮‍💨

Recently tried their thin crust too and wow, it’s actually really good! Just make sure to order it well done 👏

🔥 Fun fact: they’ve got a great lunch special with a one-topping deep dish for $8.95 - such a steal!

They’ve got two locations: Morton Grove and Lincoln Park - both always packed, so make a reservation if you’re going for dinner,

The purists will say that Pequod’s isn't a real Chicago deep dish, but I say who the F cares?! 🤷🏻‍♂️ deep dish or pan pizza, it’s still my favorite particularly as you get that crazy good caramelized crust.

I tried out Pequod’s Pizza in Chicago for the deep dish pizza. Their lunch special is pretty amazing that features a personal pan for around eight dollars I was honestly a little underwhelmed and thought it wasn’t cheesy enough. I couldn’t even get a good cheese pull on it. Also, know that it takes 40 minutes to make your pizza so you’ll be sitting for quite a while before you get your meal.

Ohmygoodness this pizza…. I’ve never had true deep dish pizza so this was a life changing meal 🤯
