This Historic family owned deli has been serving up their signature French dip sandwiches since 1908.

You can get your choice of roast beef, roast pork, leg of lamb, turkey, pastrami or ham served on a lightly textured, freshly baked French roll which has been dipped in the natural gravy of the roasts. You can add Swiss, Cheddar, American, Monterey Jack or Blue cheese. 

This place brings a bit of nostalgia. There are lots of indoor seating.

As a 4th generation Philippe’s goer, I’ve enjoyed my fair share of French-dip sandwiches here and every sandwich is as good as the last. They are so consistent and have been keeping it simple and delicious since 1908! Haven't been here in decades.  It is a historic restaurant.  You need to wait in a long line and try to find a table.  No screens.  No plastic.  Great food.

The best beef dips in LA an iconic location. I love mine double dipped with a side of potato salad and a lemonade. Lots of history at this location.
