Prairie Moon is a staple establishment in #Evanston. Amazing deal of $59 dinner for 2. Waiter said we’d need a takeout container and he was right!
🥗 brussel sprout #salad with tuna skewer
🥩 Steak, lamb, mashed potatoes, & spinach entree. Def loved the bacon mashed potatoes!
🍮 Strawberry #cheesecake

Fun fact, #Evanston , home of the Temperance movement, was a completely dry city until the 1970’s and Prairie Moon was one of the first to get a liquor license. One very unique thing about the restaurant is that it’s main indoor section is sub-ground level, giving it a kinda speakeasy vibe. They serve great comfort food and great adult beverages.  Great happy hour bites including Disco Fries and Bavarian Pretzel #chicago

I’ve been many times to Prairie Moon, but never knew about their wonderful dinner menu! They have a prefixe menu for $55-60 for two people! It includes appetizer, entree and dessert, all of which are hearty options. This rotates constantly so you’ll be in for a treat as the season’s change.  This is a later post from their summer had a hearty Tuscan Tuna Salad, Herb Grilled Lamb chops and beef tenderloin brochettes. Well worth the trip up north from #Chicago.  #neighborhoodgem #prefixe
