A northern Chinese cuisine restaurant which my mom loves for the dishes with a spicy numbing sensation. She ordered cumin lamb and a dish with eggplant and fish. The service is great with an attentive staff and the food arrives sizzling hot!

My mom brought me to a Szechuan restaurant in Millbrae which was recommended by a chef. Wow! The amount of chilies in my dish was insane! It was spicy, but what really caught me off guard was the numbing effect from the Szechuan peppercorns. As I took a bite, the heat hit me right away, but the peppercorns added this cool tingling sensation that mellowed things out a bit. It’s such a wild combo—spicy and numb all at once! Definitely made for a memorable meal.
