Chef Jungsik Yim has dreamt of SEA for a long time. After opening his celebrated two Michelin star restaurant, Jungsik, Chef Yim traveled extensively through Southeast Asia, and fell in love with its diversity of exciting flavors: pungent, salty, sweet, spicy. Years later, SEA is here: a vibrant, fun restaurant with a raw bar, small plates and shareable plates, along with a smart beverage program. SEA's menu is straightforward and delicious, thoughtfully created by Chef Yim and Chef Jun Hee Park.

SEA by Jungsik in Manhattan NYC. Came for restaurant week, and tried their individual menu (to try as many things as possible). The entrees included crab fried rice, crispy pork belly, tom yum ragu, and a branzino. I really enjoyed the desserts (coconut and pineapple ice cream).

This new Southeast Asian spot is the less expensive casual sibling of Three Michelin Starred Jungsik. It's where Korean meets Southeast Asian meets French techniques meets downright deliciousness. Must orders are the Crispy Pork and Crab Fried Rice. Go hungry and with a group so you can order more and share more. Your tummies will thank you.
