This is an excellent choice if you are craving southern barbecue! Be sure to try the coleslaw, even if you don’t normally like coleslaw. BYOB!

One of the best places for barbecue in Chicago! Grab dinner for yourself or with a group of friends. Loved the full rack of ribs where you can choose which barbecue sauce you want. Don’t skip the cornbread and mac & cheese size. The french fries were surprisingly tasty too!

Even with a heat index of 100 something I was ready for a “Smoque” show and some serious bbq on the patio from @smoquebbqchicago .  Currently Smoque, a Chicago joint since 2006 is in a tussle with a large corporation over use of their trademarked name.  Please help this beloved Chicago small business (even if you don’t live in Chicago) by signing their petition and help them in their battle to protect their intellectual property.

classic Chicago barbecue joint in old Irving Park Neighbourhood. A favorite of many locals because of the wide variety of meats that they have.. they make quality things from barbecue chicken to pulled pork in my favorite brisket. One of the best Chicago joints in Chicago. Super tender brisket and pork. You get your choice of three sauces. Definitely worth getting the platter so you can try more side dishes.
