Soul food city is amazing! They have delicous soul food, i love the catfish, rhe greens and the mac and cheese! You have to try this place if you love soul food!

Normally located in the Barrio Food Hub, I tried Soul Food City at the Juneteenth Soul Swapmeet instead, and LET ME TELL YOU this mac 'n cheese was absolutely amazing, flavourful, and creamy. The catfish had a perfectly crisp, richly seasoned cornmeal coating while being not too thick, while the fish was moist and flaky. And those greens were divine.

San Diego finally has a great spot for Soul Food!

Barrio Food Hub has several kitchens inside, and you can use the touch screen when you walk in to place your order from Soul Food City and they'll make your order fresh for you. 

We tried:

🍖 Smothered Pork Chops 
🍖 Baby Back Ribs
🥒 Fried Okra
🥔 Mashed Potatoes 
🫛 Green Beans
🧀 Mac n Cheese 
🍌 Banana Pudding (right in the childhood nostalgia with real bananas 🥹)

All I can say is..... FLAVOR 🤤
