This is the best neighborhood pizza spot in all of Houston! Their dough is soft, thin and folds like a New York slice. The flavors are innovative and bold. 10/10 must try!

They are an artisean pizzeria located in Houston’s midtown.
We actually got recommended the “Fancy Backpacker Pizza” by one of their employees and i have to say it was AMAZING. Personally i will go back and try the rest of their menu!

Absolutely thrilled with this gem! Lots of pizza flavors and not. To. Mention. UNLIMITED. truffle oil and hot honey! The cozy atmosphere and delicious pizza smell greets you as you enter. Will definitely be back

Amazing! Great pizza options (the big hat is featured in this video with portobello mushroom and Italian sausage topped with their unlimited truffle oil plus hot honey!). Cute space with tons of seating great for larger groups and not to mention the amazing ambiance and pizza smells. Highly recommend making a trip here when you get the chance!

So this may seem like a harsh critique compared to what most locals would provide but I am rating this on a scale of Brooklyn Pizza and honestly giving it a bump for being in TX. It’s good pizza and probably the closest you’ll get to true NYC style pizza in Houston.

To be honest, gypsy poet is so underrated and needs more spotlight because this pizzeria is so unique and so delicious in Houston. If you still haven’t tried gypsy poet and you love pizza what are you doing and you are missing out.

Cutest seating areas with casual vibes. Amazing pizza smell permeating the air and interesting pizza flavors. Will definitely be back!
