Along with the meal, you can expect free flowing sake (for the duration of the food service)! Tins is an intimate omakase experience run by 3 friends from NYC, and they’re adding a unique and different twist to Houston’s sushi scene. ### nn2109 — 5.0/5 · Aug 4, 2025 TINS (This Is Not Sushi), a new speakeasy Omakase in The Heights!! 😎 The reason for the name is because Chef Sky puts a twist on his version of Omakase by adding unique flavors (original Omakase does not add sauces so you can taste the fish). 🍣 They just opened in Sept! They brought their culinary passion from New York! The food was FABULOUS! Such unique flavors and oh sooo FRESH!! 😋🥰 It's $150/pp for 14 courses and unlimited Sake!! 🍶🥳 Definitely one of the best experiences! 😎 ### eatingquests — 5.0/5 · Dec 25, 2025 This is not sushi (TINS) is a unique omakase experience that feels reminiscent of eating at our old friend’s home. There is unlimited sake included in the price, and chef Sky is Uber friendly about the entire dining experience. The sushi pieces were even uniquely shaped and had a perfect fish – rice ratio. I truly enjoyed the Malaysian aspect of this experience. ### joellechoe — 5.0/5 · Dec 24, 2025 We love the authentic sushi experience here ### nn2109 — 5.0/5 · Aug 9, 2025 TINS (This Is Not Sushi), a new speakeasy Omakase in The Heights!! 😎 The reason for the name is because Chef Sky puts a twist on his version of Omakase by adding unique flavors (original Omakase does not add sauces so you can taste the fish). 🍣 They just opened in Sept!
