Uka Omakase is a new Omakase restaurant in Manhattan that just opened this month.

The vibes are immaculate and it’s great to see the chefs making the food in front of you.

I had a 16-course meal which included Miso Soup, Red bean ice cream, and a Handroll

It was 16 courses for $55 which is such a great value!

My favorite sushi was the fatty tuna. The sushi was fresh and of very high quality. I loved it!!

The servers were very attentive and asked us a few times how the experience was going.

H pssst. wanna know a secret? this place gives you a free large bottle of sake for every two guests. and when i say large i mean LARGE. and that’s already on top of a sixteen course omakase for fifty six dollars, which is kind of insane. they pair fresh fish with the most unexpected seasonings — sea bream with dried rose, hamachi with grilled shishito peppers — combinations that sound like they shouldn’t work but absolutely do, and you will not find that anywhere else. needless to say this place
