El Barrio has been part of the Diamond Lake Mundelein community for over 55 years owned by the same family. The business was first started by Josephine and Armando Sr Arebalo and become the very first Tex Mex restaurant in Mundelein. Today the restaurant is still family owned managed by Abel and Loretta Arebalo who continue the authentic tradition in our authentic atmosphere It’s not just a place to have great food but a destination.
