Our restaurant is a traditional izakaya style establishment offering an array of Japanese cuisine owned and operated by our Japanese Chef. One of the few true izakayas here in Chicago. From sushi and noodles to the wild, but tasty pork cheeks and tori-liver we prepare a large variety of tapas-like appetizers, but also serve all of your favorite Japanese dishes. Our extensive menus is awlays changing with new dishes from the chef. Izakaya Sankyu was opened by Yoshida-san 'Yoshi' as his 2nd Japanese restaurant. He was born and worked in Japan the majority of his younger years preparing sushi before moving to The United States and gaining citizenship.
