Business owner information Larry P. Business Owner Larry has owned and operated his family style Italian restaurant since 1977. Before that he ran his father's restaurant in Hillcrest. Pernicano's were the first to serve pizza in San Diego in 1946. Larry's other passion besides pizza is soccer. He has been coaching girls soccer at the high school level for decades. he currently is coaching his local club team and will continue to coach the local high school team right after.
