Here at Aladdin we prepare and serve quality Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine to our guests with a warm welcoming smile. Aladdin is a casual restaurant set in a fine dining atmosphere. Established in 1998. In August 2004, Camille Bsaibes from Zahle region in Lebanon known for having the best maza,or small plates of food, bought the Hillcrest restaurant from the original owner,who retained a restaurant with the same name in Clairmont., Camille kept the Middle Eastern decor and hired his parents-in-law-as cooks.His wife Eva an excellent cook whom comes from the same area in Lebanon joined the team .The whole family introduced the most authentic Lebanese food to San Diego.A s one restaurant critic said : ( I hadn't realized how light ,healthy and expressive this cuisine could be when preparedby the right hands.) Business was so good , two years later they had to expand . The new addition was decorated by selected pieces of arts from Cairo,Beirut,Damascus and Istanboul.
