Here at Jibarito Time, we specialize in Plantain Sandwiches and Latin style hot pressed sandwiches only. We are not a Puerto Rican restaurant. We currently have 23 different Plantain and press sandwiches, and we also allow our customers to create their own by choosing from a number of different mayo blends, cheeses, vegetables, etc...You think it. After two and a half years we realized that the most important menu item we were producing was our Jibaritos (plantain sandwiches). We closed our doors, remodeled, and renamed the restaurant to Jibarito Time Chicago Style Plantain Sandwiches.
