About Us

We are a locally owned home-style southern restaurant. We have your traditional southern foods prepared daily, like green beans, meatloaf, cornbread and vegetable soup. We have some interesting southern items with a twist like cabbage casserole and pineapple casserole. But our most popular item is our daily homemade chicken salad! Established in 2004. We started off as a fruit stand on the corner of Five Forks Trickum Rd and Rockbridge Rd. Many of our customers started with us there back when Joel's Mom and Dad sold fresh produce to the locals. In September of 2004 Joel decided to move the produce stand indoor and created Always Fresh Neighborhood Market. He quickly realized that he wasn't going to make it as just a market and started making Vegetable soup out of the vegetable that were getting ready to go bad. He gave the soup away and our customers liked it so we slowly morphed from a Market into a Restaurant with a Market inside. We specialize in southern foods and have tons of di
