Bopomofo Cafe is a Taiwanese-American cafe in Irvine, CA, founded by co-founders Eric and Philip, two American Born Chinese who named the cafe after the phonetic building blocks of the Mandarin alphabet. The name reflects their shared cultural pride and a commitment to heritage-inspired creativity. Their teas are brewed fresh daily using real juices and natural ingredients, with lactose-free whole milk and oat milk available at no extra charge. Guests frequently rave about the spicy popcorn chicken, the taro and black sesame drinks, and rotating monthly specials that keep regulars coming back.
