So much spicy food here at Chengdu Taste! The toothpick lamb was my favorite dish!

My favorite restaurant in 2024 is now off my list in 2025…it makes me so sad. Is it just me or is the Chinese cuisine in the SGV getting worse? There was so much bean sprouts in both dishes and paying for the extra meat made me feel much worse. There used to be so much verity in this red dish, not only bean sprouts. The waiters need to educate me on what I am ordering bc their digital does not explain what’s in the dish.

Chengdu Taste is a staple place in the area to get Sichuan food. I visited on a Saturday, when they are open all day. There was plenty of free street parking directly in front of the restaurant. During the weekdays, they close between 2:30-5 PM. Ordering is done on their tablet or you can scan the QR code on your phone. Using different devices to order is fine. Rice is ordered individually at $1.50/ bowl, but they served it all into one red rice pot. (We had a party of five.)

One of the best place for spicy and numbing sichuan taste. Love the friend chicken, salty but good. Sour soul with fish also good!
