Descanso is a stunning hidden gem that’s perfect for any celebration, like Father’s Day! The Fideo Soup is the perfect First Course! Add the Choriqueso Verde…so amazingly cheesy and packed with flavor!! Mexican flavors served Plancha style! The Plancha dining experience is FIYAH!! Imagine a Modern Taco Stand and a Chef to Table dining experience! Such an unforgettable experience!! So fun and exciting! The Loved the bold, authentic flavors!! The Ribeye Steak and Pork Loin Alambre were heavenly!

Like Benihaha? This is Mexican Benihaha! Well...a little white overall but if you like cooking shows, cheese, and tacos you should be entertained.

Descanso is awesome! There are multiple dining experiences to choose from. You can sit at the taco bar where tacos are made in front of you, you can do plancha dining (think a Mexican version of a Benihanas), or sit in their standard restaurant. I did the plancha dining and it was so much fun! The chef would tell stories and do tricks while cooking your food in front of you. The meal was delicious! Both times I’ve been, I would highly recommend the beef. Everyone agreed this was by far the best!

Have you ever tried Plancha Style Dining? I had brunch at Descanso Restaurant located in Costa Mesa and it was such a memorable experience! I ordered Steak N eggs and it was delicious, not overcooked. There was an appetizer to share. We finished it with yummy cocktails. Everything was bomb. If you guys are in the area, make sure to check it out.
