The Jackson's bar is a beer and wine bar that features special events such as Taco Tuesday, Thirsty Thursday, Fish fry Friday and karaoke Saturday… It's a place to come have a beer, watch sports and join in a game of dominoes or pool. Also available for party bookings. Established in 1966. Purchased in 1966 by three brothers Colonel, Walter, and Robert Jackson the bar was opened as a way to emulate their uncles Tavern. After the passing of the oldest brother in 1998 the bar now recognizes an annual Colonel Jackson Scholarship Fund every third Sunday in October. The scholarship is implemented for the purpose of increasing the oppurtunity of higher education .
