Had a cute lunch date with my bestie and we love afternoon tea. Their afternoon tea menu was unique with Asian flavors like dumplings, wontons, and Hojicha desserts. They have a tea sampling station so you can taste the teas before ordering the one you want. It’s also in Orange Circle in Old Towne Orange so you can walk around and go to the fun thrift shops and plant store. Parking is always a challenge there, so give yourself an extra 15 minutes if you have reservations.

Pretty affordable afternoon tea! Both the savory and sweet options were very tasty and service was attentive. Recommend for a meetup with a friend or a date!

- Charming high tea experience with an Asian-inspired twist - Fixed menu with sweet and savory options. Food presentation was better than the food itself. - Teas are cozy and fragrant. Service is pleasant, and the servers frequently check in to see if you need hot water refills. - Restaurant is decorated well and photographs well. - Parking is quite difficult on the weekends. There is a free lot directly behind the restaurant, but it fills up quickly.

For mid day tea time or a full dinner service, Tea Modern Chinese is a great place to take mom on a Mother’s Day date! Delicious food, taking Chinese classics with a modern twist! My favorite is the whole fish, a must have!!!
