Weera Thai is a family-owned restaurant that first opened in Chiangmai Thailand in 1978 by our father, Suweera Thongthaisairi along with our mother, Sutsawat Promkul. Our specialty was Northeastern or “Isaan” cuisine. More than 3 decades later, their son, Peter, opened Weera’s first US-based restaurant in Las Vegas on Sahara Avenue in 2010. Since then, the family has opened 3 more branches: Chinatown, Rainbow and Town Square. One of the restaurant’s most popular dishes is the “Larb Ped ” which is a well-known dish of ground boneless duck with spices, herbs, lime juice and chili. This dish is an homage to Weera’s original restaurant in Thailand that is still up and running today.
