ASU Kerr Cultural Center's natural adobe studio is regarded as one of the premier cultural venues in the Valley, renowned for its fascinating history, intimate setting and excellent acoustics. Built by legendary composer, ethnomusicologist and violist Louise Lincoln Kerr in 1959 as a space for friends to gather and play music, the facility is a distinguished performing arts venue and private event site. Mrs. Kerr was the first woman on the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Her Scottsdale home and studio served as a key incubation space for artists and musicians working on their craft. She frequently had talented guests and friends practicing and staying on her property. Her pals included Pablo Casals, Isaac Stern, Will and Ariel Durant, The Juilliard String Quartet and countless traveling musicians. The property was bequeathed to ASU after she passed away i
