Gold Banh

We went there on Sunday lunch time. There were about 40 minutes. But they ran out of pastrami and won’t have more until 3 pm. So we got the steak one instead. I wish the veges were more pickled! The bread were super crunchy and fresh. Overall it was good. We would love to try the famous pastrami one next time.

So happy to have been able to try this Vietnamese sandwich shop. It is unlike any other since they sell a pastrami version. I highly recommend.

They have a good selection of what I would call above average meats to choose from. I came here to try the Banh Mi but they have 3 main entree types to choose from. The other two options are bowl or summer roll. I was told that the crispy pork, bbq pork, and roast duck are the most popular. I would've preferred a more fluffy and lightly crispy roll for the banh mi but I still enjoyed it. It's set up so they create your meal in front of you while allowing you to choose exactly what you want.

Considering how far we are from Westminster, it wasn't bad. There's better Vietnamese food for cheaper closer to LA proper and the aforementioned Westminster, CA.

The new pastrami sandwich is such a BIG hit but I was lucky to hit it at the right time with no line!! The meat is very tender and you have a choice to add garlic spread to the bread or leave dry as is. A must try!

Crispy pork belly bang mi. This is regular portion of meat. It’s very crispy! I recommend to pay extra $1 for the garlic bread.
