in the mood for comfort Dinner at📍Matsui in Torrance. A lot of udon-eating done over the years but none that tasted like this one, at least not outside of Japan. The udon noodles had a tender yet chewy texture, broth was rich, flavorful and savory. The tempura was light and crispy. The rice was moist and fluffy. All the flavors worked so well together 9.0/10 Complimentary Iced Tea (Not sure what kind) | M-7 Tendon Combination Special with Hot Tanuki Udon (天丼セットと饂飩) $15.25

Massive tempura shrimp bowl 🍤

The Manager's Special might be the best deal in all of LA. Sushi, tempura, your choice of soba or udon, and a salad, all for less than $20. It was fresh and tasty, and I would call that unbeatable. Friendly service and lots of other menu options make this a winning hidden gem in Torrance.

Love coming to Matsui! My favorite is the nabeyaki udon.
